Originally from a small town outside St. Louis Missouri, Sean Spann is an LA-based actor, VO artist, and performing arts instructor.

His classwork and private coaching seeks to synthesize all components of performance training - the breath, body, voice, speech, and emotional life. Over the last 18 years, Sean has taught for UC-Irvine, AMDA College and Conservatory, Studio School (Hussian College), and The Identity School of Acting. He currently teaches at The Art of Acting Studio, where he spent five years as the Head of Voice and Speech. He has instructed classes in Movement, Voice, Speech, Shakespeare, Acting Fundamentals, Scene Study, and Creating Character.

As an actor, his work spans TV, Film, Stage, Commercials, and Voice Over. Film/TV credits include The Little Things, Little America, The People vs O.J. Simpson, Shameless, The Mentalist, and Southland. As a VO artist, his credits include the recurring character Asher in English-dubbed Max series On the Spectrum, and central character Joao Havelange in the English-dubbed series The Corruption Game on Amazon Prime. He can also be seen recently in ads for Casey’s Pizza, Delta Airlines, and Volkswagen.

In addition to his work on camera and in the recording booth, Sean has spent considerable time on stage, most notably as a 7-season company member of The New Swan Shakespeare Festival. His one man show ‘What Took Place Here’ was featured in the Road Theatre’s New Works Festival (2012), he was a member of the original cast of Jim Leonard's musical 'Bad Apples' (w/ Circle X Theatre, Ovation-nominated for 'Best Ensemble'), and he spent a year collaborating as an actor and movement artist to develop and perform ‘Daedalus’ Daughter’, nominated for Stage Raw’s Best Direction and Best Choreography awards (2017-2018).

Sean earned a BFA in Acting from the University of Evansville and an MFA in Acting from University of California-Irvine.
